Microsoft System Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
Modern IT infrastructures require specialists who keep an eye on the entire stack. We are looking for a technically strong personality who operates Microsoft environments, cloud services, and virtualisation securely, solves disruptions analytically, and continuously develops the infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Operation and further development of modern Microsoft infrastructures in hybrid IT environments
Administration of Windows Server and Windows client platforms
Support of virtualised systems based on VMware
Planning and implementation of Microsoft 365 and cloud solutions
Monitoring of servers, networks, and central infrastructure components
Proactive monitoring and early detection of performance and availability issues
Analysis of complex disruptions and sustainable resolution of technical causes
Design and implementation of new hardware, software, and cloud solutions
Support of network, firewall, and VoIP components
Automation of recurring administration tasks with PowerShell
Implementation of security, patch, and lifecycle measures
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, system concepts, and operational standards
Participation in infrastructure projects, migrations, and technological modernisations
Consultation of users and technical contacts on infrastructure issues
Qualifications:
Completed training in computer science or comparable technical qualification
Several years of experience in system engineering or IT infrastructure administration
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and client
Good experience with VMware and virtualisation
Practical experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud technologies
Understanding of networks, firewalls, security, and VoIP
Interest in automation and PowerShell
Analytical and structured approach to technical challenges
Independent working style with high quality and sense of responsibility
Enjoyment of varied infrastructure projects and technological development
Strong communication skills and pronounced team orientation
