Microsoft Systems & Automation Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
A versatile engineering position focusing on Microsoft systems, automation, and secure IT infrastructures offers the opportunity to actively shape modern platforms. We are looking for a technically skilled individual who wants to take responsibility both in engineering and operational management.
In addition to further developing the system landscape, you will accompany the entire lifecycle of the platforms and bring your expertise to projects, security topics, and technical optimisations. Automating recurring processes also plays a central role.
Responsibilities:
Engineering and operation of Windows Server, client, and Microsoft cloud environments
Managing lifecycle topics such as design, implementation, releases, patching, capacity, and availability
Optimising and automating system processes through scripting and modern infrastructure-as-code approaches
Handling complex incidents and sustainably resolving root causes within problem management
Technical consulting for internal teams and application managers on infrastructure, architecture, and security
Collaborating on cross-departmental projects as well as maintaining technical standards, documentation, and operating instructions
Qualifications:
Education in computer science or comparable several years of practical experience in Windows engineering
Solid knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem including Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Entra ID, and Exchange
Experience with VMware and other virtualisation platforms
Knowledge in LAN/WLAN, network security, identity & access, and system hardening
Good experience with backup, storage, monitoring, and logging solutions as well as very good PowerShell skills
Knowledge of Ansible and Git is an advantage; very good German skills and strong communication abilities
