About the job
Over the past ten years, we at crowdhouse (Switzerland) AG have evolved from one of the most successful start-ups to one of the most significant real estate asset managers in Switzerland. We have revolutionised property ownership and made the purchase and sale of investment properties transparent, accessible, and efficient through our proprietary software. With a transaction volume of over CHF 2 billion, we now manage a real estate portfolio worth more than CHF 1.8 billion.
We are now facing our next growth phase. Our mission is not only to talk about the housing shortage and rising rents but to actively create affordable housing. As specialised asset and investment managers, we raise capital from private investors and invest it in profitable, sustainable, and above all fair real estate projects. Only by building additional homes can the demand caused by strong immigration be met and the price spiral stopped. Together with our clients as property investors, we can and will make a difference. For this, we need you!
Your working environment
For our finance team in Zurich, we are looking for a committed individual who will take on the financial accounting of a diverse real estate portfolio with passion and precision – focusing on listed companies but also with occasional responsibility for non-listed properties. You bring solid experience in financial accounting and ideally are familiar with the regulatory requirements of the stock exchange. You feel comfortable in the tension between regulatory excellence, business responsibility, and cross-team collaboration – and appreciate the dynamics that a mixed real estate portfolio brings.
If you are looking for a varied role with scope for creativity in a collegial environment, we look forward to receiving your application!
What you will achieve
Independent management of financial accounting for listed real estate companies as well as occasional involvement in the accounting of non-listed properties
Handling payment transactions and consolidating separately maintained property accounting
Assisting in the preparation and publication of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with stock exchange regulations, Swiss Code of Obligations, and IFRS or Swiss GAAP FER
Supporting the further development of financial processes and the internal control system
Coordinating interfaces with external administrations and internal specialist departments (e.g. transactions, construction, property management)
Supporting tax-related issues and regulatory requirements (compliance)
Preparing reporting for investors, analysts, and supervisory authorities
Participating in internal and external audits
Liquidity planning and cash flow management (including financing)
Managing internal projects, e.g. in the areas of digitalisation or process automation
Responding to ad-hoc requests from management or authorities – mainly in connection with listed investments
What you bring with you
Completed commercial basic training with further education as a specialist in finance and accounting with a federal diploma or comparable qualification
At least 3-5 years of professional experience as a financial accountant, ideally in the environment of listed real estate portfolios
Sound knowledge of accounting according to IFRS or Swiss GAAP FER as well as experience with the specific regulatory requirements of listed companies
Familiarity with financial accounting software and ideally experience with systems such as GARAIO/REM, Mammut or SAP FI/CO
Ability to implement complex regulatory requirements in a structured and timely manner
Excellent communication skills in German
High initiative, careful and structured working style as well as analytical thinking
