Cloud, virtualisation, automation, and cyber security belong together today. We are looking for a technically skilled ICT professional who combines classic data centre technologies with modern Azure services and not only solves problems but sustainably develops the infrastructure further.
Responsibilities:
Design and further development of a modern hybrid system landscape
Support of distributed IT platforms across multiple locations
Engineering and optimisation of virtualised VMware environments
Administration and lifecycle management of physical server and infrastructure components
Establishment of a central monitoring and observability strategy for on-premise and cloud systems
Further development of the Azure infrastructure and integration of existing systems into the cloud
Automation of recurring operational processes with PowerShell and Azure Automation
Use of Logic Apps for orchestration and automation of technical workflows
Development of robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery scenarios
Technical responsibility for Veeam-based backup solutions
Handling complex incidents and conducting structured root cause analyses
Detection, analysis, and containment of security-relevant events
Implementation of hardening, security, and resilience measures
Optimisation of Microsoft 365 and Intune in conjunction with the existing infrastructure
Technical collaboration on network and connectivity issues
Planning and implementation of ICT projects as well as taking over project management for selected initiatives
Coordination of technology partners and external specialists
Qualifications:
Technical training in computer science, system engineering, or comparable qualification
Extensive practical experience with Windows Server and enterprise infrastructures
Very good knowledge of VMware and Veeam
Experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid IT architectures
Good knowledge of the Microsoft 365 and Intune environment
Experience with PowerShell and automation
Knowledge of Cisco network environments
Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity
Experience analysing security incidents and technical disruptions
Knowledge of Linux and SQL as an additional strength
Independent and solution-oriented working style
Willingness to take responsibility for technical topics and projects
