Role:
As a System & Infrastructure Engineer, you are responsible for the reliable operation of a predominantly on-premise IT landscape and continuously develop it further. You administer backup, email and core systems, proactively fix vulnerabilities and keep an eye on the network. In client management, you ensure clean software and update distribution with endpoint management tools and group policies and support Microsoft 365 in a hybrid context. In addition, you take on project responsibility, evaluate new technologies and support your team in 2nd-level support – structured, analytical and with a high sense of responsibility.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the administration of backup, email (Exchange on-premise) and Microsoft core services as well as internal IT specialist applications and monitor the network
You identify and fix vulnerabilities and errors in IT systems and support other systems and applications
You package and distribute operating systems, software as well as updates/patches using endpoint management software and GPO
You administer Microsoft 365 in a predominantly on-premise environment
You evaluate and implement new IT systems, take project responsibility in the core area and participate in cross-departmental projects
In addition, you support the IT team and take on 2nd-level support for internal IT requests
Qualifications:
You have at least 3 years of professional experience as a system engineer or administrator in the Microsoft environment
You have solid knowledge of Windows server operating systems (Linux is an advantage) as well as the modern Microsoft product range (M365 apps are an advantage)
You are familiar with AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, Azure, PowerShell and scripting in general
You work in a structured, analytical and solution-oriented manner and convince with communication and teamwork skills
You are responsible, committed, flexible, resilient, honest and loyal
You are willing to work outside regular working hours and have business fluent German
