Senior Accountant / Financial Accountant (m/f/d)

Role:
Do you want to take on a responsible role in finance and accounting and manage several companies? In this position, you are responsible for the reliable management of financial accounting and accompany the managed entities from ongoing bookkeeping to periodic financial statements. In addition to the operational day-to-day business, you will face diverse tasks related to taxes, reporting, and financial analyses. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to further develop processes and actively shape structures within the finance department.
Responsibilities:
You independently manage the financial accounting of several companies and ensure correct and timely processing
You prepare monthly and annual financial statements and handle accruals, activations, depreciations, and other closing entries
You manage the accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting and monitor outstanding receivables as well as payment transactions
You post ongoing business transactions in the general and subsidiary ledgers and ensure a clean data basis
You prepare VAT returns and assist with other tax declarations
You support budgeting and planning processes and compile the necessary financial information
Qualifications:
You have a commercial education and have further trained in finance and accounting, ideally with a Swiss federal diploma
You bring several years of professional experience in finance and accounting and have ideally managed several companies or mandates
You are familiar with Swiss accounting standards and are acquainted with the relevant requirements in the area of VAT and taxes
You have experience with various ERP and financial systems and possess good Excel skills
You communicate professionally with various internal and external contacts
You have very good German skills and good English skills
