Senior Kubernetes Platform & Operations Engineer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
Ensuring a robust platform foundation for business-critical 7x24 services with Kubernetes, SUSE Rancher/RKE2 and RHEL/SLES, including architecture and technical development.
Responsibility for the entire technical lifecycle of the platform: complex updates, upgrades, migrations and release changes, security measures as well as handling demanding operational disruptions at 3rd level and during major incidents.
Automation and standardisation of infrastructure via Ansible/AWX and Infrastructure as Code as well as further development of CI/CD on Forgejo and associated DevOps standards.
Technical support for technical teams, participation in technology decisions and roadmap topics, as well as participation in the 7x24 on-call service.
Qualifications:
Senior-level experience in Linux, Kubernetes, platform engineering or DevOps with solid practice in complex infrastructure architectures.
Very good knowledge of RHEL/SLES and Kubernetes; Rancher/RKE2 experience is an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of Ansible, AWX, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code as well as building automated and standardised operating models.
Experience with high availability and platform security, including OS hardening, vulnerability management, certificates, secrets and privileged accounts; additionally knowledge in networking, DNS, load balancing and firewalls.
German written and spoken fluently (C2), English at least B2 and optionally French B1. ITIL and relevant certifications in Kubernetes, Linux, cloud or open source are advantageous.
