Role:

Cloud computing, Microsoft Azure, virtualisation, and complex network architectures are part of your world? We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who understands demanding system landscapes, develops innovative solutions, and helps shape the next generation of modern IT platforms with technical foresight.

Responsibilities:

• Architecture, engineering, and continuous development of modern hybrid cloud infrastructures

• Design and implementation of scalable Microsoft Azure environments

• Building, managing, and optimising virtualised system landscapes with VMware vSphere or Hyper-V

• Technical responsibility for complex server, storage, and network architectures

• Development and implementation of modern connectivity concepts including routing, switching, VPN, and network segmentation

• Integration of local IT infrastructures with cloud platforms

• Automation of infrastructure processes using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell

• Implementation of cloud security concepts, identity management, and zero-trust architectures

• Optimisation of high availability, performance, scalability, and disaster recovery

• Technical leadership and implementation of demanding infrastructure and cloud migration projects

• Further development of monitoring, logging, and observability solutions

Qualifications:

• Several years of professional experience as a system engineer, cloud engineer, or infrastructure engineer

• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Azure and modern cloud architectures

• Very good knowledge of virtualisation technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V

• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and ideally Linux systems

• In-depth knowledge of network architectures, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching

• Experience with Azure Networking, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, and Azure Entra ID

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform or Ansible

• Confident handling of PowerShell and/or Python

• Understanding of IT security, high availability, and modern backup strategies

• Analytical thinking and the ability to comprehensively grasp complex technical contexts
