Role:
Security in the cloud starts with the architecture and not just with monitoring. As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you embed Zero Trust and clean network concepts directly into the foundation of the platform. You consistently automate recurring processes instead of performing them manually. This creates an environment that other teams can rely on. You are happy to share your experience.
Responsibilities:
You design cloud architectures where network and security play a key role.
You design and maintain landing zones, zero-trust models, and network concepts in ongoing operations.
Additionally, you automate deployments with Terraform and scripts following the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach.
You monitor security and compliance requirements with Microsoft Defender for Cloud and manage access via identities and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
Furthermore, you drive the expansion of the Azure platform and keep it stable and future-proof.
You also support development teams in onboarding to the platform and advise them on architectural decisions.
Qualifications:
You have a qualification as an IT specialist EFZ, HF, or FH or an equivalent education.
You have been confidently working in the Azure environment for several years, preferably with a focus on network and security.
You have solid knowledge of cloud security services and Microsoft Defender and understand how SOC-related processes work.
You have practical experience in hardening cloud platforms, especially in identity and access management (IAM), network, monitoring, and compliance.
Additionally, you bring experience from DevOps or cloud engineering, work proficiently with IaC, and understand modern operating models.
Certificates such as Security Engineer Associate or Microsoft Administrator complete your profile.
