Role:
An experienced engineering professional is sought for the operation and further development of an extensive, standardised IT infrastructure. The focus is on Linux, Kubernetes, and virtualisation as well as the continuous improvement of a server landscape with around 500 systems.
Responsibilities:
Operation and further development of a server infrastructure with around 500 systems.
Administration of Linux (RHEL/Rocky Linux), Kubernetes with Rancher, VMware vSphere and Windows.
Analysis and resolution of complex faults as well as ensuring stable operation.
Evaluation and introduction of new technologies, tools, and cloud approaches.
Participation in internal IT projects, architecture development, and technical documentation.
Support in client management as needed and participation in the rotating on-call service.
Qualifications:
Apprenticeship in computer science EFZ or degree in systems engineering
At least 6 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure.
Very good knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes/Rancher, VMware vSphere and Windows.
Initial solid practical experience with Proxmox VE and enterprise storage.
Independent working style, team orientation, and interest in new technologies.
Fluent German, very good English.
