As a Unix/Linux System Engineer, you are responsible for the stable operation, further development and security of our modern IT infrastructure. You manage complex systems such as web, database and mail clusters, develop new services and technologies and optimise existing platforms. You work with open-source technologies, automate processes and ensure reliable operation through monitoring and targeted error analysis.
Responsibilities:
Operation, maintenance and further development of the IT infrastructure
Support of web, database and mail clusters
Administration of storage and network systems
Planning and integration of new services and technologies
Ensuring IT security and handling of security incidents
Software maintenance, rollouts and configuration management
Error analysis, debugging and system optimisation
Expansion of monitoring solutions and technical documentation
Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science FH or comparable experience in the Unix/Linux environment
Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux systems
Very good knowledge of TCP/IP, SMTP, IMAP, HTTP and TLS
Experience with shell scripting and automation
Knowledge of open-source technologies
Enthusiasm for technology and new technologies
Very good German skills and good English skills
