Role:
Modern cloud architectures require more than technical know-how: they need clear guidelines, a good understanding of contexts, and people who can combine different interests into a viable solution. In this position, you actively shape the further development of a complex IT landscape. You provide architectural orientation to projects, create security in technology decisions, and balance innovation with the requirements for stability, protection, and integration.
Responsibilities:
Shape architecture and provide orientation
You influence the strategic direction of the cloud and SaaS architecture and continuously develop it further.
You establish architectural principles and standards that enable consistent and sustainable use of cloud platforms.
You assess new technologies and derive well-founded recommendations for the future IT landscape.
Keep projects on track
You support project teams in cloud transformations and the introduction of new technologies.
You analyse solution designs, conduct architecture reviews, and decide on their architectural approval.
You ensure that new services are cleanly integrated into existing application, data, and security structures.
Combine security and collaboration
You consider security, compliance, and governance already in the architecture design and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
You collaborate with data and integration architecture, IT security, project management, specialist departments, and external providers.
You translate complex technical requirements into understandable decision bases for different stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Technical foundation
You have completed a higher education in computer science (FH, HF or university) or a comparable qualification.
You have several years of experience as a cloud architect, infrastructure architect, or solution architect.
You bring solid knowledge in Microsoft Azure, cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, and microservices.
You understand cloud security, identity & access management, networks, platform services, and hybrid architectures.
You have experience with architectural specifications for cloud platforms as well as with infrastructure as code and Terraform.
Working style and communication
You understand the basic principles of enterprise architecture and can incorporate them into technical decisions.
You approach decisions in a structured manner, take responsibility, and keep an eye on implementation.
You can reduce technical complexity without losing important contexts and communicate confidently with business, IT, and external partners.
You have fluent German language skills.
