System Engineer & Technical Account Owner (m/f/d)
Our partner is an established IT service company in the field of Managed Cloud & Outsourcing Services. They operate several hundred servers in their own data centres and offer state-of-the-art IT service solutions in the areas of storage, backup, networking, archiving, security, etc.
The implementation of IT projects with subsequent operation and maintenance requires profound expertise, extensive experience, process mastery, creativity, and absolute reliability. The demanding clientele of our partner expects innovative IT services and solutions with the highest availability and security.
Role:
You are the technical constant for your customers
If you enjoy taking responsibility, understanding contexts, and supporting customers in the long term, this role offers you a varied combination of engineering and technical consulting. You know your customers' IT landscapes, understand their requirements, and ensure that short-term concerns become sustainable solutions. At the same time, you help shape how services are standardised, processes simplified, and new technologies sensibly integrated into operations.
Responsibilities:
You take responsibility: You are the central technical contact person for your customer portfolio, coordinate support, and ensure service continuity together with the team.
You create stability: You prioritise incidents, requests, and changes, analyse errors across multiple system levels, and ensure solutions that permanently resolve problems.
You understand practice: You occasionally visit customers on site, learn about actual workflows, and derive concrete technical improvements from this.
Your role in further development
You optimise existing IT environments with a focus on Microsoft 365, Azure, and infrastructure.
You identify opportunities to unify configurations, procedures, and operational processes.
You implement automations and examine how AI can usefully support ticket processing and IT operations.
You collaborate with engineering and service management and contribute your perspective to the further development of services.
You realise technical sub-projects and support the introduction of new solutions.
Qualifications:
You have training in computer science with a focus on system technology or platform development, or comparable practical experience.
You have several years of experience in IT operations or system engineering and are familiar with complex infrastructure environments.
You bring solid Microsoft knowledge, especially in M365 and Azure.
You approach error analyses systematically and are comfortable with complex technical contexts.
You are interested in new technologies and have initial experience with automation or AI.
You act customer-oriented, communicate clearly, and enjoy taking responsibility.
You hold a category B driving licence and have very good German as well as good English skills.
