A demanding engineering position offers the opportunity to actively further develop modern server, storage and backup infrastructures. We are looking for a technically skilled individual who enjoys the stable operation of complex platforms and technological projects.
The focus is on the further development of virtualised systems, the operation of storage and recovery solutions, as well as the administration of Linux platforms. Additionally, you will take responsibility in projects and apply modern methods for automation and configuration.
Responsibilities:
Operating and optimising storage and SAN environments including lifecycle management
Further developing and administering virtualised server platforms
Being responsible for the backup and recovery infrastructure
Administration and maintenance of RHEL Linux systems
Developing technical concepts and taking project leadership in complex undertakings
Automating and standardising infrastructure processes with modern configuration management tools
Qualifications:
Higher education in computer science or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience with storage, backup and virtualised server environments
Good knowledge in the administration of Linux systems
Experience with SAN technologies and backup/recovery concepts
Practical experience with Ansible and GitLab or comparable automation and version control solutions
Analytical and structured working style, initiative and good German language skills
