Welding Engineer

AXEPTA is looking for one of its best partners, a recognised player in the field of special machines and industrial solutions for the naval sector, a Welding Engineer.

Your responsibilities:

• Take charge of engineering activities related to welding processes on special machine projects intended for the naval sector.
• Define welding technical requirements and participate in the selection, development and optimisation of processes.
• Prepare, manage and analyse welding and qualification tests in collaboration with production, robotics, automation and engineering teams.
• Provide your expertise during the design of equipment and the integration of welding functions into industrial systems.
• Analyse test results, identify discrepancies and implement improvement actions.
• Write and ensure the updating of specifications, procedures, test reports and other technical documents.
• Participate in technical reviews, validation phases and, depending on the projects, the commissioning of equipment.

Your profile:

• Engineering training in welding, materials, mechanics or equivalent technical field.
• Proven experience in welding engineering in a demanding industrial environment.
• Strong mastery of welding processes, their development and associated quality requirements.
• Experience in integrating welding processes within special machines, robotic systems or automated equipment is a real asset.
• Analytical mind, ability to structure a problem-solving approach and to formalise technical conclusions.
• Pragmatic, autonomous and field-oriented profile, with good interpersonal skills and a strong technical culture.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written, is essential.
