Cloud Native Site Reliability Engineer (m/f/d)

The application covers the entire administrative process: from the tax register through assessments and invoicing to debt collection and loss certificate management. For a technologically advanced company, an experienced individual is sought to build, operate, and continuously develop modern cloud-native environments. The focus is on Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, and Infrastructure as Code, as well as the reliable provision of modern SaaS platforms.
You will work on demanding customer environments, accompany technical onboardings, and develop scalable and highly available solutions together with interdisciplinary teams. You will have plenty of scope for design and can actively apply modern engineering methods.
Responsibilities:
Building, configuring, and technically onboarding cloud-native customer environments based on Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux
Ensuring stable, performant, and secure operation of SaaS platforms
Further development of monitoring, logging, and observability as well as consistent reduction of manual operational efforts
Implementation and automation of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and modern CI/CD approaches
Development and improvement of backup, restore, and disaster recovery concepts
Active collaboration with development, security, and operations teams as well as documentation and knowledge transfer
Qualifications:
Higher education degree in computer science or comparable practical qualification at HF, FH, or university level
Several years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, System Engineer, or in a comparable role
Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux as well as experience with modern cloud environments
Practical experience in CI/CD, for example with GitLab or Argo CD, and ideally experience with Infrastructure as Code
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, databases, and automated operational processes is an advantage
Very good German and English skills, analytical thinking, and strong personal responsibility
