Senior IT System Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
You are looking for a challenge as a Senior System Engineer where you can apply your skills in compute, storage, virtualisation, and backup. In this role, you take responsibility for planning, implementing, and maintaining complex systems. You ensure the availability and performance of the systems and develop solutions to meet your customers’ requirements. You bring your experience and knowledge to optimise and improve the systems. You are an important part of the team and contribute to the success story.
Responsibilities:
- You size, plan, install, and commission compute and storage platforms
- In this role, you design virtualisation projects with various platforms
- As a Senior System Engineer, you develop modern backup, failover, and disaster recovery solutions
- You advise customers on the technical and economic alignment of their virtualisation strategy
- In this role, you support highly available and regulated customer environments
- As a Senior System Engineer, you share your professional know-how within the company and promote internal knowledge transfer
Qualifications:
You have completed training or further education in system technology with several years of professional experience or have a comparable qualification in this field
You have comprehensive knowledge in sizing, commissioning, and troubleshooting server and storage hardware as well as in building virtualisation solutions
You have experience in building backup and restore solutions, preferably with Veeam
You hold certifications in the manufacturer areas of HPE, Veeam, VMware or are willing to obtain them
Further education at a university of applied sciences is a plus
You speak very good German and have good English skills
