Support Technician in Information Systems on a Fixed-Term Contract

To strengthen its information systems department, as part of a replacement, the city is looking for a:

Your mission:

You ensure the installation and operational guarantee of IT and/or telephone equipment (hardware and software) within the framework of projects. At the request of users or through monitoring tools, you guarantee the maintenance (remotely or on-site) of this equipment and handle incidents and new requests. You approach IT from the perspective of environmental, social, and economic challenges to build a (eco)responsible information system and help the administration evolve towards more agile models through digital technology.

Your main activities:

• acquire, prepare and install computer hardware and software (office, standard and business applications);
• deploy equipment at workstations;
• place orders, verify receipt of equipment (computer hardware and supplies);
• configure user profiles (AD account, email, directory, links, etc.);
• assign and manage access privileges in accordance with defined standards;
• assist and advise users in case of questions, breakdowns or malfunctions;
• diagnose and quickly resolve faults, if necessary, forward requests to partners or suppliers;
• update internal procedures and those intended for users;
• produce technical documents;
• manage already active services to ensure their operational condition and usability.

Your profile:

• professional maturity in IT with 5 years’ experience or federal IT certificate with 3 years’ experience or equivalent training;
• ITIL certification is an asset;
• good general knowledge of various IT fields (desktop, infrastructure, security, application integration, etc.) and their concepts;
• analytical and organisational skills, particularly for mastering new software;
• good oral and written expression, interpersonal skills, ability to persuade, and ability to simplify various IT concepts;
• ability to quickly understand challenges, pragmatic sense and appetite for change;
• languages: perfect command of French, intermediate level in English and intermediate level in German, an asset;
• impeccable confidentiality;
• sense of public service;
• holder of a driving licence.
