Network Engineer (m/f/d)
Our client is an established Swiss healthcare institution that combines medical care with research and development. A versatile working environment and collaboration across different specialist areas characterise the organisation.
Responsibilities:
You design, operate and optimise high-performance network environments and ensure stable, secure and highly available connectivity.
You further develop network architectures and are responsible for implementing complex solutions in the areas of routing, switching, WLAN, WAN and firewalling.
You analyse complex faults, identify their causes and derive sustainable measures to improve performance and reliability.
You accompany infrastructure projects from technical planning to commissioning and coordinate collaboration with internal departments as well as external service providers.
You establish standards, automate recurring operational tasks and support the team with technical know-how, documentation and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications:
Completed training or degree in computer science, telecommunications or a comparable technical field.
Several years of experience in engineering and operating complex corporate networks with sound knowledge in LAN, WAN, WLAN, routing, switching and network security.
Good practice with firewall platforms, network monitoring and fault analysis; knowledge of technologies from Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto or comparable manufacturers is an advantage.
Experience with network automation, scripting or infrastructure-as-code, for example with Python, Ansible or Git-based workflows.
Analytical and solution-oriented working style, high personal responsibility as well as enjoyment of cross-team collaboration; very good German skills and good English.
