Technical Account Manager Microsoft Cloud (m/f/d)

Role:
Our client is an owner-managed IT service provider in the Zurich Oberland region, supporting SMEs with modern Microsoft solutions. The team is deliberately kept small: those who work here know their customers personally, make their own decisions and actively shape the collaboration. In this role, you are the technical contact person for a fixed customer portfolio. You combine engineering with consulting, implement projects yourself and ensure that your customers’ IT works today and grows with them tomorrow.
Responsibilities:
You manage a fixed portfolio of about a dozen SMEs and know their environment, contacts and plans
You independently plan and implement projects, for example migrations from local systems to the cloud, hybrid environments, modern workplaces and security hardening
You provide technically sound advice and explain even complex topics in a way that is understandable to users
You work closely with architects, engineering and operations teams
You take over escalated cases from operations and resolve issues that the 2nd level cannot complete
Qualifications:
You bring several years of experience as a system engineer in the Microsoft environment and have implemented projects yourself, not just supported them
You are well versed in Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Defender), Entra ID (Conditional Access, Hybrid Identity) and Azure (IaaS, PaaS, hybrid scenarios)
You are familiar with classic Windows server environments (Active Directory, group policies, file services, remote desktop)
You have experience with virtualization on Hyper-V and backup solutions such as Veeam
You have solid networking fundamentals in the areas of firewall, VPN and WLAN
You understand Swiss German, as the customers speak dialect, and respond in High German
You enjoy direct contact with customers
Microsoft certifications in the Azure or M365 environment are a plus but can also be acquired with the employer
Experience at a managed service provider is an advantage
