Role:
Security in the cloud does not happen by chance but through thoughtful architecture. As an Azure Network & Security Engineer, you are responsible for a Microsoft Azure platform, making it robust, scalable, and secure. Zero Trust, network design, and automation are your daily tools. At the same time, you are the contact person for teams bringing their workloads onto the platform. Your expertise flows directly into viable solutions.
Responsibilities:
You automate deployments with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) based on Terraform and supplement them with your own scripts.
You design landing zones and network concepts from idea to implementation.
Furthermore, you define cloud architectures with a clear focus on network and security.
You monitor compliance requirements and implement protective measures, for example with Defender for Cloud, identity solutions, and role-based access control (RBAC).
Additionally, you maintain the ongoing operation of the platform, keeping it stable and continuously improving it.
You also support teams during onboarding and advise them on architectural questions.
Qualifications:
You bring several years of experience in the Azure environment, ideally with a focus on network and security.
You have an IT education at EFZ, HF, or FH level or an equivalent background.
You are well acquainted with Microsoft Defender, Azure security services, and processes within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
Furthermore, you have first-hand knowledge of securing cloud platforms, especially in IAM, monitoring, network, and compliance.
You are confident in the DevOps or cloud engineering environment and think about platform operation in modern operating models.
Additionally, Azure certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate or Azure Administrator complete your profile.
