You are responsible for the reliable operation of the entire IT infrastructure and actively work on network, firewall, physical and virtual servers, as well as the Microsoft cloud – from maintenance to technical development.
In case of disruptions, you are operationally involved: you take on tasks in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support, analyse causes, and ensure rapid system restoration.
You shape the IT strategy in alignment with the overall strategy of the MSW and lead derived IT projects from planning to implementation.
As the central contact person for IT matters, you advise school management and specialist departments, are responsible for the IT budget, and coordinate external IT service providers and partners. At the same time, you lead the IT staff both professionally and personally.
Topics such as IT security, data protection, and cyber resilience are managed holistically by you; existing IT processes are continuously developed further.
Qualifications:
The basis is a completed training as an IT specialist EFZ system technology / platform development, supplemented by further education at HF/FH level; alternatively, you have an equivalent qualification and solid several years of professional experience.
You are proficient in operating modern IT environments, especially with Windows/Linux servers, virtualisation, M365, and Azure. Additionally, you have experience in leading IT projects.
Routing, switching, as well as firewall/security are among your solid knowledge in network architecture.
Initial experience in leadership or project management enables you to lead a small team in a partnership-based and goal-oriented manner. At the same time, you enjoy working operationally daily and combine conceptual thinking with pragmatic implementation.
A pronounced service orientation, communication skills, and overview even in hectic situations characterise you; you master German flawlessly in writing and speaking.
