Head of Traffic Department (AVK) 90 - 100%
Exciting tasks await:
- Leadership with impact: You lead the Traffic Department professionally, personally and financially – from the objectives in the task and financial plan to the promotion of 34 employees.
- Strategic traffic development: You help shape the mobilitätAARGAU strategy and ensure a cross-modal, innovative and sustainable overall traffic development in the canton.
- Operational overall responsibility: You are responsible for the further development of roads, public transport as well as pedestrian and cycle traffic and ensure coordination with settlement, environment and economy.
- Networking at all levels: You represent the department vis-à-vis the federal government, cantons, regions, municipalities and transport companies and actively maintain these relationships.
- Member of the BVU management team: You contribute your topics at a strategic level.
What you bring:
- University degree with proven experience, ideally in engineering/traffic engineering
- Additional training in business administration and/or spatial planning is an advantage
- Several years of leadership and organisational experience as well as project management experience
- Experience in communications and adeptness in the "politics and administration" environment
- Negotiation skills and networked thinking
