From stable IT operations to strategic platform.
Technical depth meets strategic scope: We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer who not only operates complex IT landscapes but also defines their next development stage. The focus is on robust platforms, automated operating models, and innovative cloud and infrastructure concepts.
Responsibilities:
Technical overall responsibility for selected ICT platforms and services
Further development of existing infrastructure into standardised, automated, and resilient platforms
Design of solutions for cloud, hosting, compute, storage, network, and security
Development of technical target architectures and decision templates
Translation of business requirements into reliable technical solutions
Technical leadership of complex infrastructure and cloud initiatives
Planning and implementation of migrations, integrations, and platform modernisations
Management of releases, changes, and technical rollouts
Establishment of efficient processes for incident, problem, change, and recovery management
Development of concepts for high availability, backup, restoration, and business continuity
Proactive optimisation of performance, system stability, and operational security
Further development of monitoring, observability, and automated operational procedures
Evaluation of new technologies and creation of proofs of concept
Co-design of a modern cloud and platform strategy
Technical consulting for customers, departments, and project teams
Support of less experienced engineers through coaching and knowledge transfer
Qualifications:
Several years of professional experience as a Senior System Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or Solution Architect
Solid technical know-how in at least several areas of modern ICT infrastructure
Experience with complex enterprise or managed service environments
Proven experience in architecture, engineering, and technical project management
Understanding of cloud-native concepts and hybrid infrastructure models
Ideally knowledge of Azure, VMware, Microsoft Server, Linux, or security technologies
Interest in automation and infrastructure as code
Ability to identify technical risks early and develop sustainable solutions
Structured and analytical approach even in complex situations
Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
Willingness to take responsibility and actively shape technological standards
High standards for quality, security, and sustainable IT solutions
