We invite you to join the Finance, Sustainability, Legal and Risk (FDD) department, which plays a key role in implementing the company’s strategy.

The company’s business sectors face increasing regulatory challenges. Within the FDD department, the Regulatory and Tariff Compliance Activity (CRT) coordinates regulatory processes, supports stakeholders and business units in analysing regulatory impacts and recommending solutions, and manages regulated tariffs for the various business sectors.

To address these challenges, the Regulatory and Tariff Compliance activity wishes to strengthen the Regulatory Affairs team.

Your energy in the service of a sustainable Geneva

As Regulatory Affairs Manager within the Regulatory and Tariff Compliance Activity, you provide regulatory expertise and support for various SIG business sectors.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

• Ensure strategic regulatory monitoring at European, federal and cantonal levels concerning the business sectors (energy, water, etc.) under your responsibility, and summarise the key findings for dissemination to the company’s governance;
• Analyse regulatory issues and developments concerning these business sectors and assess their impacts on the company;
• Coordinate regulatory processes, recommend the best solutions to stakeholders and business units, and support them in their implementation;
• Manage consultation processes concerning draft laws, regulations and directives, and the company’s positions on regulatory developments;
• Proactively contribute to communication, collective awareness and consideration of regulatory issues and their impacts with stakeholders and business units;
• Actively participate in relations and exchanges with regulatory bodies and sector associations, maintain regular communication and act as a facilitator with them.

Your personality and skills

You have solid legal expertise, ideally in regulation in the energy or environmental sector.

You are able to analyse regulatory issues and provide clear and structured opinions to management and stakeholders.

You adopt a proactive advisory stance, based on discernment and independent analysis, as well as support and facilitation, aiming for collective ownership of regulation with stakeholders.

Your background:

• You hold a university degree in law (Master’s or equivalent). A lawyer’s licence is an asset.
• 7 to 10 years of proven experience in regulatory roles, ideally in the energy or environmental sector, is desirable.
• You are proficient in German.
