You don’t just think of infrastructure in terms of servers, but as stable, scalable platforms? Then this position offers the opportunity to technically advance demanding IT environments and simultaneously play a central role in future-oriented infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and continuously optimise modern enterprise infrastructures
Technical responsibility for virtual platforms based on VMware
Administration and further development of complex Microsoft environments with Windows Server and Active Directory
Support of hybrid cloud architectures with Microsoft Azure and Entra ID
Planning and implementation of migrations, upgrades, and technical transformation projects
Building and optimising highly available backup and recovery solutions with Veeam
Further development of Microsoft Exchange and modern messaging infrastructures
Automation of recurring administrative tasks with PowerShell
Analysis and resolution of complex infrastructure issues at 2nd and 3rd level support
Planning and implementation of changes, releases, and maintenance windows
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation as well as architecture and operational documents
Assuming an increasingly shaping role within the infrastructure team
Qualifications:
Completed training as an IT specialist EFZ with a focus on platform development or comparable background
Several years of professional experience in system engineering, infrastructure, or cloud operations
Solid knowledge of VMware and Microsoft technologies
Practical experience with Azure or hybrid cloud environments
Experience with Veeam and modern backup strategies
Confident understanding of Active Directory, network services, and Microsoft server technologies
Analytical thinking and enjoyment of complex technical challenges
Initiative and ambition to continuously improve existing solutions
Willingness to take on professional responsibility and to develop into a technical leadership role in the future
