The HEIG-VD is advertising the position of
Academic HES Assistant in Energy and Environmental Technologies
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in teaching tasks of the department: assist in course preparation, supervision and preparation of practical work
- Participate in applied research and development (R&D) work at the Institute of Energies, particularly in the field of energy recovery from dry and wet biomass
- Participate in the management and maintenance of the research entity’s infrastructure, especially the bioenergy laboratory
- Participate in administrative management and any other activities necessary for the smooth running of the department and research entity
DESIRED PROFILE
- Degree from a university of applied sciences or equivalent qualification
- Interest in the field of energy recovery from biomass by thermo-, physico- and biochemical methods
- Good knowledge of combustion, gasification, pyrolysis, anaerobic digestion and composting processes
- Ability to characterise biomass from a physico-chemical perspective
- Good communication skills and organisational sense
- Autonomy, structured work and good analytical skills
- Good knowledge of English, in addition to French. German is an asset
Work rate : 100%
Start date : 1 January 2027 or to be agreed
Duration of contract: 1 year, renewable, maximum 5 years
