Cloud Infrastructure & Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
A modern cloud platform requires clear standards, automated deployment processes, and an architecture that efficiently supports different technical teams. In this position, you will further develop the Microsoft Azure environment, standardise central platform components, and create the foundation for secure and scalable cloud solutions in an international corporate environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, standardisation, and further development of the Microsoft Azure platform
Development and maintenance of Infrastructure-as-Code modules with Terraform
Provision of reusable platform components, interfaces, and technical specifications
Consultation and support of application, data, AI, development, and infrastructure teams
Handling of service requests and incidents in 2nd and 3rd level support
Participation in international cloud and infrastructure projects
Further development of cloud architectures and standardised deployment processes
Qualifications:
Completed IT training with professional experience or degree in computer science
Solid experience in the design and standardisation of Azure platforms, especially Landing Zones
Knowledge of Cloud Platform Architecture and fundamental IT architecture principles
Practical experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps and/or Git
Basic knowledge of Azure AI, Microsoft Foundry, API Management and Microsoft Entra ID
Knowledge of PowerShell, REST APIs or comparable automation technologies
Understanding of Cloud Operating Models, shared responsibilities and standardised deployment processes
Analytical, structured and quality-conscious working style
Independence, personal responsibility and enthusiasm for cross-team knowledge transfer
Very good German and English skills
