Cloud & Platform Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
A modern IT platform today must do more than just ensure stable operation. Automation, security, scalability, and continuous development are crucial for a future-oriented IT landscape. In this role, you will encounter a technologically diverse environment where you take on operational responsibility as well as contribute to the further development of the cloud architecture and internal IT services.
As a Cloud & Platform Engineer, you will manage central platform services within a Microsoft-oriented infrastructure. You analyse technical challenges, develop sustainable solutions, and optimise existing operational processes. You will have the freedom to implement new technologies, drive automation, and further develop the technical foundation for future requirements.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the reliable operation and continuous optimisation of central cloud and platform services
Administration and further development of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID
Monitoring of platforms, troubleshooting, and sustainable resolution of technical issues
Development of automation solutions and scripts to reduce manual operational efforts
Technical collaboration on projects, migrations, and the introduction of new cloud services
Cooperation with internal teams as well as external technology and operations partners on technical matters
Qualifications:
Completed higher education in computer science or a comparable technical further education
Several years of professional experience in cloud, system, or platform engineering
Solid practical experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 as well as good knowledge of Entra ID
Experience with PowerShell, Git, or comparable tools for scripting and automation
Basic to good understanding of IT security, IAM, data protection, and compliance
Responsible, structured, and communicative personality with an interest in cloud technologies and continuous improvement
