Role:
Intranets are strong when technology and content work seamlessly together. As a Senior SharePoint Engineer, you take technical responsibility for modern collaboration and intranet solutions based on SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 (M365). You lead the migration of content from an existing wiki platform professionally and help design the target architecture. You work closely with business stakeholders, security, and IT operations and set technical standards for a growing platform ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
You design, develop, and operate modern SharePoint solutions with information architecture, permission models, search, and governance.
You take technical leadership in migrating intranet content and manage the transition in a controlled and low-risk manner.
You build integrations and migration tools for content relocation, metadata mapping, link integrity, and quality checks.
Furthermore, you extend intranet functions such as navigation, publication patterns, and automations for an enterprise-wide user base.
Additionally, you improve CI/CD and platform operational readiness.
You also lead code reviews, define technical standards, and provide professional support to colleagues.
Qualifications:
You have a university degree in computer science or completed training in software development.
At least five years of experience in development and administration of Microsoft SharePoint, ideally with heavily used web platforms.
You confidently develop with TypeScript/JavaScript, modern frontend frameworks, and APIs, and supplement with maintainable backend services if needed.
You understand identity, permission, and governance concepts in regulated environments in detail.
You have also accompanied migration projects from planning and tooling to validation and phased implementation.
You communicate fluently in English and have basic knowledge of German for documentation and content.
