Research Officer/Translator

The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Singapore in Geneva would like to invite suitable
candidates to apply for a full-time contract position of a Research Officer/Translator.

Research Officer/Translator

The expected job responsibilities are as follows:

Research Work
- Monitor daily local newspapers and media and prepare daily press reports.
- Conduct online research and prepare reports where required
- Follow local media conferences/media briefings/announcements from the government and international agencies and file reports

Translation/Interpretation

- Translate into English relevant news articles from local and foreign language newspapers for the daily press reports.
- Translate incoming mail from French/German into English, and vice-versa where necessary.
- Provide interpretation support at meetings and events.

Other duties:
- Assist in the Mission’s events and other administrative tasks when required.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
- Good command of English, French and German
- University degree with relevant experience. Prior related experience would be an advantage
- Reasonable IT and Microsoft applications knowledge
