Senior Accounts Payable Accountant 100%
Position on a one-year auxiliary contract, renewable
Your mission and responsibilities:
- manage accounting operations related to the business process, as well as the monthly and annual closing of accounts payable.
- participate in payment management, in collaboration with group managers.
- prepare financial reports ensuring their reliability and compliance with deadlines.
- handle accounting and financial incidents (hotline), both with administrative services and suppliers, and provide assistance in analysing and resolving identified issues.
- ensure documentation of accounts payable business processes: flows, procedures, instructions, and accounting diagrams.
- participate in the development of accounting directives and procedures for the section.
- contribute to information system development projects.
- identify training needs of teams and services, and lead skills development workshops.
- substitute, if necessary, for the accounts payable manager and group managers in fulfilling their duties and tasks.
Your profile:
- hold a commercial maturity certificate or an equivalent qualification.
- have additional certified training in accounting or, failing that, demonstrate solid professional experience in accounts payable.
- have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- master accounts payable and related financial processes, including payment management and accounting closures.
- know the Geneva economic fabric and have worked with a wide variety of suppliers, from independents to multinationals.
- have experience in a multidisciplinary environment and in supporting or functionally assisting teams.
- be proficient with common IT tools and have experience with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, or an equivalent system.
- demonstrate dynamism, agility, versatility, as well as precision, method, and organisation.
- possess technical, accounting, and business knowledge allowing quick adaptation to varied situations.
- show flexibility and autonomy in task execution.
- exhibit good communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact naturally and respectfully in all circumstances.
