When IT must function where downtime is not an option, technical depth and security awareness are required. This position combines classic system technology with cybersecurity, networking and industrial environments – ideal for experienced IT specialists who enjoy challenging system landscapes.
Responsibilities:
Planning and realisation of robust IT platforms for critical technical environments
Building and further developing secure network and infrastructure architectures
Integration of IT systems into industrial and production-related environments
Support of Windows and server platforms as well as virtualised system landscapes
Securing systems, networks and remote access against modern cyber threats
Monitoring distributed infrastructure with monitoring, logging and alerting solutions
Analysis of complex faults including root cause analysis and sustainable troubleshooting
Handling demanding 2nd and 3rd level issues
Operation and optimisation of GitLab, server services and secure remote access solutions
Development of backup, recovery and availability concepts
Automation of recurring operational and administrative tasks
Creation of technical documentation, operating standards and system concepts
Evaluation of new technologies and implementation of suitable solutions in practice
Active shaping of modern IT and security processes
Qualifications:
Education or further training in computer science, system technology, automation or comparable
Experience in building and operating IT infrastructures and networks
Solid knowledge of Windows Server and virtualisation
Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox or comparable platforms
Experience with monitoring, backup and system operation
Basic understanding of modern network and cybersecurity concepts
Ideally experience with industrial IT or OT environments
Interest in critical infrastructures, technical systems and high availability
Analytical skills for complex technical faults
Independent and structured working style
Willingness to take on technical responsibility and actively drive solutions forward
