Role:
The position of Automation Engineer with a software focus offers a versatile role in commissioning, expanding, and optimising automation solutions. The emphasis is on supporting customer service, conducting training sessions, and implementing technical adjustments on site. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy automation technology and want to apply their expertise in an international environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accompanying machines during commissioning: ensuring a smooth start-up of systems on site
- Preparation and execution of expansion projects: adapting and optimising existing systems to increase efficiency
- Supporting customer service: handling service and support requests in the field of automation
- Technical customer contact: conducting technical clarifications and supporting customers on site
- Developing training content and conducting training sessions for customers to ensure optimal use of the systems
- Carrying out international service assignments: willingness to travel 20-30% to support customers worldwide
Qualifications:
- Technical education: basic mechatronic training (e.g. automation technician, electronics technician, polymechanic)
- Further education: completed further education as an engineer FH/HF in electrical engineering or automation or willingness to undertake further education
- Expertise: experience in PLC programming according to IEC 61131-3 is an advantage
- Personal qualities: strong organisational and communication skills as well as confident demeanour and good manners
- Language skills: very good knowledge of German and English
- Driving licence: category B driving licence is required
