Senior Accountant (m/f/d)
Our client is an internationally active company in the chemical industry, specialising in the production and distribution of chemical specialties. The company combines modern production processes with high quality orientation and reliable international customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the finance team of about 4 employees, responsible for general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements according to Swiss Code of Obligations and IFRS for the two Swiss companies
- Ensuring compliance with legal and tax requirements according to the group’s guidelines
- Improving and optimising existing financial processes
- Responsibility for VAT declarations in Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands as well as monitoring correct sales tax processing in these countries
- Active involvement in managing currency risks and liquidity control
- Management of company vehicles and operating costs
- Responsibility for projects and participation in project-related tasks
Qualifications:
- Completed university degree and further training specialising in finance and accounting (e.g. professional certificate in finance and accounting or an equivalent qualification)
- At least 5 years of professional experience in finance and accounting in an international and industrial corporate environment in a comparable position
- Extensive experience with SAP FI/CO (experience with SAP modules SD and MM is an advantage)
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, as well as high IT affinity
- Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written
