Job Description
On behalf of our partner, a nursing home in Biel, we are looking for a qualified care and support assistant (ASA) for a permanent position on a CDI contract, with a workload of 80 to 100%, to start from 1st October.
Within this human-scale establishment hosting 28 residents, you will play an essential role in the daily support of elderly people, some of whom have psychogeriatric disorders. In close collaboration with the nursing team and other professionals of the institution, you will help ensure a safe, respectful living environment adapted to the specific needs of each resident.
Strictly respecting your scope of practice, your duties will include close support, basic care and active participation in the smooth running of the residents’ day. You will be involved particularly in daily living activities to preserve their autonomy, comfort and dignity as much as possible.
This position offers the opportunity to commit long-term within a humane, stable and dedicated establishment, where your presence will have a tangible impact on the quality of life of the residents.
Profile Sought
The ASA diploma recognised in Switzerland is mandatory for this position. Previous experience in a nursing home, geriatrics or with elderly people is an advantage.
You are a kind, reliable, patient and attentive person, with a genuine interest in supporting elderly people. You master basic care, comfort care and support in daily living activities, respecting your competencies and protocols.
You know how to observe, communicate important information to the care team and work collaboratively with different professionals. Your sense of responsibility, discretion, adaptability and team spirit will be essential for this role.
Above all, we are looking for someone wishing to commit sustainably to the residents and within a small team.
If you want to join a human-scale establishment, build a close relationship with residents and engage in a stable CDI contract within a dedicated team, this opportunity fully matches your professional project.
