Modern platforms instead of classic system administration: We are looking for a technically skilled system engineer who understands infrastructure as code and enjoys developing highly automated platforms for modern applications. Containers, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies are part of the environment, as are automation, security, and reliable platform operation.
Responsibilities:
Development and further development of modern platform infrastructures for internal development and product teams
Building standardized and automated infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code
Development of reusable IaC modules with Terraform, OpenTofu, or comparable technologies
Operation and further development of container-based platforms with Docker and Kubernetes
Building and optimisation of Kubernetes clusters and container workloads
Development of automated deployment processes for infrastructure and applications
Integration of CI/CD pipelines into modern development platforms
Automation of recurring operational and provisioning tasks
Further development of cloud and hybrid infrastructures
Building self-service functions for developer teams
Implementation of monitoring, logging, and observability
Optimisation of platforms regarding performance, availability, and scalability
Implementation of modern security principles within the infrastructure
Participation in architectural decisions and technical standards
Analysis and resolution of complex platform and infrastructure issues
Creation of technical documentation and automated operational processes
Active shaping of a modern platform engineering culture
Qualifications:
Professional experience as a system engineer, platform engineer, DevOps engineer, or in a comparable technical role
Solid experience with Linux-based systems
Good knowledge of container technologies, especially Docker
Practical experience with Kubernetes
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform, OpenTofu, or comparable technologies
Understanding of modern cloud and network architectures
Experience with Git and CI/CD processes
Knowledge of a scripting or programming language such as Python, Bash, or Go is an advantage
Interest in automation and standardised platform solutions
Understanding of security, secrets management, and identity & access management
Analytical thinking and enjoyment of complex technical challenges
Independent and structured working style
Willingness to continuously question and improve existing solutions
