Are you looking for a role where technology meets real impact? Then we look forward to connecting you with our Rocken partner.
Role:
This is where software engineering meets robotics, electronics, and real hardware. The focus is not on abstract software solutions but on systems that must function reliably in the physical world. We are looking for a person who enjoys delving deeply into technical issues, trying out new approaches, and developing functional robotics solutions together with an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
From idea to hardware
You develop software solutions for next-generation robotics systems and accompany their development from early prototypes to near-production implementation.
You deploy software directly onto hardware and verify its behaviour under real conditions.
You work on integrating various software and hardware components and ensure reliable interaction.
Embedded & Systems
You develop solutions for Linux-based ARM systems and deal with hardware-near components.
You work with I2C, SPI, and other communication mechanisms and support the integration of drivers and system components.
You implement modern C++ software architectures and integrate distributed services.
Innovation & Engineering
You contribute your own ideas, question existing approaches, and develop technical solutions together with specialists in robotics, algorithms, and electrical engineering.
You support the testing of new technologies and advance development projects from the experimental phase towards productive application.
You use technologies such as Docker, ROS, Python, Bash, or hardware accelerators as needed to further develop the systems.
Qualifications:
You have a degree in computer science or a comparable technical education.
You have at least five years of practical experience in software development.
You are proficient in modern C++ and have a good understanding of object-oriented software development.
You are familiar with embedded Linux and ARM and ideally have already developed hardware-near software.
You have experience with Nvidia Jetson or are willing to quickly familiarise yourself with the ecosystem.
Ideally, you have contact points with ROS, Docker, Python, Bash, real-time operating systems, or distributed computing.
Experience with GPU, DSP, or other hardware accelerators is an advantage.
You enjoy working in an international and interdisciplinary environment and approach technical challenges analytically and creatively.
You communicate fluently in German and confidently in English.
Benefits:
- Flexible working hours: Flexible working models
- Attractive training and development opportunities
- Comfortable office with modern infrastructure
