Maintenance and Projects Technician
Mission
The Maintenance & Projects Technician acts as the link between the Asset Management strategy and the operational reality on the ground. They carry out maintenance interventions on critical equipment, lead or contribute to improvement projects, and ensure their long-term reliability.
An essential player in asset management, they support industrial performance by combining technical expertise, project management, and close collaboration with production teams.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance interventions on critical equipment, with a high level of technical expertise.
- Actively contribute to asset management: monitoring histories, updating data in the CMMS, analysing failures, and developing action plans.
- Identify, propose, and implement continuous improvement projects (reliability, safety, ergonomics, energy performance, digitalisation).
- Work closely with the Asset Management team to translate strategic priorities into operational actions on the ground.
- Prepare, plan, and execute technical shutdowns and heavy maintenance work, in coordination with production.
- Ensure interventions comply with safety, quality standards, and current regulations.
- Document interventions, write technical reports, and monitor key performance indicators (MTBF, MTTR, availability).
- Train and support operators in best practices for first-level use and maintenance of equipment.
- Participate in technical reviews and risk analyses related to equipment and projects.
- Contribute to a positive team spirit and maintain smooth communication with production, engineering, and management.
The Maintenance & Projects Technician also participates in the on-call service, one week per month.
Certificates / Diplomas and level of education
- Technical CFC or equivalent.
Professional experience
- 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance in a demanding environment.
- Proven practice in strict compliance with safety and quality rules.
Specific skills and knowledge
- Knowledge of industrial automation: Beckhoff / Schneider / Siemens.
- Skills in industrial IT and office tools: Windows, CMMS, SolidWorks.
- Mastery of preventive and corrective maintenance methods and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience in managing technical projects (planning, monitoring, field coordination).
- Strong ability to analyse failures and implement reliability solutions.
- Forklift licence, an advantage.
Languages
- Excellent knowledge of French (spoken and written).
- Good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
