A versatile engineering position for a technically skilled individual who wants to reliably operate demanding Windows environments and continuously improve their security. The focus is on server and client systems, application landscapes, and supporting IT support with complex technical issues.
You work at the interface between operations, support, and project teams, taking responsibility for the stability and further development of the infrastructure. Initiative, quality awareness, and a careful working style are particularly important in this role.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring the reliable operation of Windows servers and workstation systems
Maintenance and further development of a complex, heterogeneous system and application landscape
Carrying out maintenance work, updates, and technical optimisations to ensure availability
Supporting 2nd-level IT support with demanding faults and technical problems
Contributing to the implementation of preventive security measures and improving the protection of the Windows infrastructure
Participating in IT projects as well as taking on on-call and standby duties
Qualifications:
Training as an IT specialist EFZ system technology, higher education in computer science, or comparable qualification
Several years of experience in operating and engineering Windows infrastructures
Very good knowledge of Windows Server as well as experience with server operation, applications, and complex system landscapes
Strong understanding of IT operations, troubleshooting, and technical security measures
Independent, reliable, and structured personality with high quality standards and strong team orientation
Very good German skills and good English skills; French skills are a plus
