Technical Assistant / Technical Assistant in Construction Management 60-70%

Our client is a construction company active throughout French-speaking Switzerland. It employs around 40 people in this region. It undertakes new build and renovation projects, mainly in housing, often in occupied buildings. Its construction managers oversee projects from A to Z. To relieve them of some of the technical and administrative follow-up, our client is creating a part-time technical assistant position based in Neuchâtel.

How to use your site experience in a part-time technical support role in the office? This is what this position offers.

• You work in tandem with a construction manager and assist them in following their projects, both technically and administratively.
• You support project managers in the daily follow-up of files. You prepare the documents, information and elements they need to progress on site.
• You manage part of the project administration from the office. This allows the construction management to focus on coordination and execution.
• You use the company’s internal tool to track projects.
• You ensure that information is reliable and up to date.
• You bring your field knowledge to anticipate the needs of a site and facilitate communication between the office and the teams on site.
• You thus contribute to the smooth running of new build and housing renovation projects, many of which are on occupied sites.

• You have a commercial employee training with experience in a construction company or, conversely, you come from the technical sector with solid administrative experience.
• You have already followed a construction site and understand its practical operation. This is the central element of the position.
• You know both structural and finishing work as well as the sequence of the different phases of a project.
• You are rigorous and organised.
• You are comfortable with IT tools and will quickly master an internal software.
• You enjoy working in tandem and supporting a team. You live in the Neuchâtel region or nearby.
