Sales Engineer Western Switzerland – Baumer Electric AG

Since 1952, our client Baumer Electric AG has been designing sensors and measuring instruments in Frauenfeld that make the Baumer family group a global leader in industrial automation. Driven by its values of partnership, precision and innovation, the company deploys its solutions in industry, machinery, robotics and railways across 19 countries with nearly 2800 employees. To strengthen its team in Western Switzerland, we are looking for a Sales Engineer Western Switzerland – Baumer Electric AG.

Reporting to the Head of Sales Switzerland based in Frauenfeld, you will take over a solid customer portfolio spread across the cantons of Geneva, Vaud, Fribourg and Valais. You will benefit from the support of your predecessor who will assist you in your onboarding. As an ambassador of the Baumer brand, you will retain a demanding industrial clientele and develop the commercial activities in your territory by identifying new opportunities with existing or new customers.

Main tasks

• Manage and develop the existing customer portfolio by proposing sensor and measuring instrument solutions for new projects
• Expand your portfolio by acquiring new customers
• Actively develop the customer network and identify the most relevant sales channels
• Support customers on technical and commercial aspects as a pragmatic and trusted partner
• Manage the sales pipeline in a structured manner, from identifying and qualifying opportunities to their realisation
• Ensure follow-up of commercial activities and regular reporting in the CRM

Your profile

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in selling electronic components or technical solutions
• Resilience, strong customer orientation, solution and results focused
• Autonomous and entrepreneurial approach, team spirit and strong curiosity for technology
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Fluent in French and German (minimum C1); English is a plus
