The Borel Foundation welcomes, supports and protects children and adolescents facing personal, family or social difficulties, with a view to development and empowerment. It carries out its mission through three complementary sectors (educational, pedagogical and therapeutic) in accordance with its guiding principles, internal procedures, the service contract and the applicable legal framework.

Job opening for the position of

Your main responsibilities:

• ensure the strategic and operational management of the foundation, as well as the sustainability of its missions
• actively participate, alongside the Foundation Board, in the development of the institution's strategy
• develop internal policy enabling the implementation of the strategy, taking into account the demanding field of child protection
• develop institutional services and lead institutional projects
• exercise a leadership role fostering collaboration, collective intelligence and the building of committed professional relationships with all staff
• manage the supervisory functions directly reporting to them
• develop and implement an institutional culture promoting the efficient delivery of services, collaboration and staff development
• be responsible for the fulfilment of the mission, the quality of services, the coherence of actions carried out in compliance with legal and normative frameworks, as well as internal reference systems
• ensure institutional, socio-educational and pedagogical, organisational and financial functioning
• guarantee the implementation of management tools and performance indicators
• guarantee the implementation of the internal control system
• delegate the operational management of services to the relevant managers, while assuming final responsibility
• be responsible for respecting the rights and safety of the children and adolescents welcomed
• represent the institution externally at the request of the Foundation Board

Your profile:

• HES or university degree in the social, socio-educational field or equivalent recognised qualification
• DAS / MAS in management of educational, social or socio-health institutions or equivalent. Or interest in undertaking it
• Experience in the field of social education, minimum 10 years
• Significant management experience in the field of child aid and protection
• Experience in project management and change management
• Experience in public finance management and HR management
• Good knowledge of the cantonal child protection system
• Ability to unite multidisciplinary teams and exercise collaborative leadership
• Ease in coordination and partnership work with State services
• Ability to commit long-term in a demanding context
