Data Analyst (M/F/X)

SEIC is a distributor of electrical energy and heat in six municipalities of the region, and its 75 employees are also active in the fields of energy efficiency, electrical installations, telematics, home automation and security solutions, and multimedia services through its participation in netplus.ch SA.

Your mission

We are seeking a person capable of ensuring the reliability, analysing and enhancing the data from our various systems. You ensure that the data is complete, available on time and correctly provided for energy billing as well as for exchanges with the various market players. You also develop indicators and management tools useful to operational teams and management.

Your responsibilities

• Ensure the daily operation of data flows and associated processing in data management platforms
• Control the completeness, quality, consistency and timeliness of data necessary for energy billing and operations
• Prepare and provide, within the expected deadlines, data intended for billing and exchanges with the various market players
• Monitor data exchanges, rejections and operational anomalies until their resolution, in coordination with the relevant teams
• Apply already defined validation, estimation and correction rules
• Analyse recurring anomalies, discrepancies and trends to identify causes and propose improvements
• Design and develop indicators, dashboards and clear reports for operational teams and management
• Document sources, processing and controls, and contribute to testing, migrations and application developments

Your profile

• Higher education ES, HES or university degree in data analysis, statistics, applied mathematics, business informatics, Business Intelligence, or equivalent training
• Experience in data preparation, quality control, analysis or visualisation, ideally in an operational environment
• Good understanding of relational databases, data models and flows between systems
• Experience with time series, large volumes of data or data quality issues is an advantage
• Knowledge of the energy sector or metering data is a plus but not essential; training on business processes and internal tools will be provided
• Ability to understand business needs, structure an analysis and clearly explain results to non-technical stakeholders
• Very good command of French, both spoken and written, and ability to work with technical documentation in English; German is an asset
• Rigor, curiosity, autonomy, analytical mind, sense of priorities and team spirit
