Application Manager Expert

Ensure service quality: You ensure that the basic services in the e-government environment function stably, reliably and user-friendly at all times and meet the needs of the administration.

Support specialist departments: You competently support the specialist departments in the daily use of the basic services, clarify concerns quickly and solution-oriented and ensure service-oriented advice.

Coordinate SaaS partners: You manage our external service providers, monitor SLAs, accompany fault rectifications and ensure the high service quality of the offered cloud and on-premise solutions.

Conduct training: You conduct training sessions, create easy-to-understand instructions and strengthen the independence of users.

Improve service quality: You identify optimisation potentials, drive improvements forward and ensure that the basic services are continuously further developed.

Experience: You bring experience in application management and convince with a high service orientation. You confidently support users, communicate clearly and coordinate demanding concerns confidently with specialist departments and external service providers.

Personality: You convince through clear, solution-oriented communication and bring different interests together. At the same time, you work independently, structured and responsibly.

Education: You have a completed higher education (FH, university, HF) in computer science, business informatics or a related field and bring experience in dealing with modern applications.

Language: You communicate professionally and confidently with a wide variety of customer groups. Very good oral and written German skills are mandatory.

IT BS is the internal IT service provider of the Canton of Basel-Stadt and belongs to the Finance Department. The department provides the collaboration and communication infrastructure for mobile and stationary IT workplaces and the associated support. In addition, IT BS continuously develops various offers for the public in the area of eGovernment and digitalisation. A functioning IT is central to the efficient operation of the cantonal administration.

The Cross-Section Applications department significantly drives digitalisation in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. As an Application Manager in the E-Government Business Solutions team, you actively shape modern digital basic services and ensure that the basic services eSignature, online appointment scheduling and Secure File Exchange function reliably and user-friendly for the administration.
