Applications under control, releases in flow: We are looking for a technically skilled person who accompanies business applications throughout their entire lifecycle and at the same time ensures structured, reliable releases. An exciting combination of application management, incident management, deployment and continuous optimisation.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the stable operation of selected business applications
Support and technical further development of applications throughout the entire lifecycle
Analysis of complex malfunctions and coordination of sustainable error correction
Interface between specialist departments, software development, infrastructure and external partners
Planning, coordination and execution of software releases
Establishment of structured release and deployment processes
Creation and maintenance of release plans, checklists and technical procedures
Coordination of changes, deployments and productive rollouts
Monitoring of releases and support of stabilisation after go-live
Coordination of application tests and technical approvals
Analysis of dependencies between applications, interfaces and infrastructure
Optimisation of existing operational and support processes
Automation of recurring deployment and operational tasks
Further development of monitoring, logging and alerting
Maintenance of technical documentation and operational standards
Participation in migrations, upgrades and modernisation projects
Establishment of modern ITSM and DevOps principles in application management
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in application management, application operations or IT service management
Technical understanding of business applications, interfaces and IT infrastructures
Experience with release, change or deployment management
Good knowledge of ITIL processes and modern IT service methods
Understanding of software lifecycle, versioning and deployment processes
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps or comparable tools is an advantage
Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs and integration mechanisms is an advantage
Interest in automation and DevOps principles
Analytical and structured working style
Strong sense of responsibility for production-critical changes
Communication skills and enjoyment of collaboration with diverse technical and professional stakeholders
Ability to keep an overview even in complex incidents
High initiative and solution-oriented thinking
