IT Infrastructure Engineer / Consultant (m/f/d)
Role:
Combining technology, architecture and customer consulting: We are looking for a technically skilled individual who not only operates complex IT environments but actively develops them further. Those who enjoy taking responsibility, designing modern infrastructure concepts and advising customers on an equal footing will find a versatile environment here with plenty of scope for creativity.
Responsibilities:
Consulting and technical support for SMEs in the further development of their IT infrastructure
Analysis of existing system landscapes and development of sustainable infrastructure concepts
Planning, migration and optimisation of modern server and virtualisation platforms
Building and further developing hybrid cloud and on-premises architectures
Design and implementation of network and security solutions
Planning and optimisation of firewall, endpoint and identity security
Further development of Microsoft-based infrastructure services and cloud platforms
Automation of recurring administration and operational processes
Participation in demanding infrastructure projects from conception to productive introduction
Analysis and resolution of complex faults in 2nd and 3rd level support
Proactive monitoring, performance optimisation and continuous improvement of system landscapes
Co-design of new managed services and technical standards
Taking on own areas of responsibility according to personal expertise and interests
Qualifications:
Solid training in computer science, systems engineering or a comparable technical qualification
Several years of practical experience in operating and further developing modern IT infrastructures
Very good knowledge of server, storage and virtualisation technologies
Experience with network architectures, firewalls and modern security concepts
Understanding of hybrid IT architectures and cloud technologies
Ideally experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID or comparable platforms
Interest in automation, infrastructure as code and modern operating models
Analytical thinking and enjoyment in solving technical causes rather than just symptoms
High personal responsibility and strong solution orientation
Enjoyment of customer consulting, technical exchange and varied projects
Team-oriented personality with strong communication skills
Willingness to continuously engage with new technologies and methods
