Role:
Technology decisions have long-term impacts on the stability, security, and growth of an IT landscape. This role is aimed at an experienced individual who designs infrastructure architectures, accompanies technical projects at the highest level, and derives concrete solutions for demanding environments from technological developments.
Responsibilities:
Design and further development of a modern enterprise IT architecture
Development of technical target images for infrastructure, cloud, hosting, and platform services
Evaluation of existing architectures regarding performance, security, availability, and costs
Development of technical solution concepts for complex customer and company requirements
Technical leadership of infrastructure, cloud, migration, and modernisation projects
Definition of architecture standards and technical governance models
Selection and evaluation of new technologies as well as preparation of well-founded decision bases
Support of system integrations, migrations, releases, and technological transformations
Ensuring stable and secure operation of business-critical platforms
Development of concepts for backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery
Optimisation of monitoring, alerting, performance, and automated operational processes
Analysis of complex incidents and support in sustainable problem solutions
Consulting customers and internal stakeholders on technical and architectural issues
Consideration of security, data protection, and business continuity in architecture decisions
Building and maintaining technical roadmaps for infrastructure development
Promotion of engineering standards, knowledge transfer, and technical competence within the team
Qualifications:
Completed studies or higher education in computer science, business informatics, or a related field
Several years of professional experience in systems engineering, infrastructure architecture, cloud engineering, or comparable roles
Experience with complex enterprise infrastructures and their lifecycle management
Solid knowledge in cloud computing, virtualisation, networking, and server architectures
Experience with Azure or comparable cloud platforms
Good knowledge of Windows and Linux environments
Understanding of modern IT security architectures and security standards
Experience with highly available systems, backup strategies, and disaster recovery
Practice in technical leadership of transformation or infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of software architecture, interfaces, and modern development processes
Ability to combine technical and economic aspects in architecture decisions
Excellent communication skills and confident appearance towards technical and non-technical stakeholders
High personal responsibility, conceptual strength, and pronounced solution orientation
Willingness to continuously follow technological developments and further develop one’s own know-how
