Senior Platform Architect Linux & Kubernetes (m/f/d)
Responsibilities:
Strategic and technical development of the platform architecture including evaluation of new technologies and participation in the platform roadmap.
Responsibility for Kubernetes with SUSE Rancher/RKE2 and the RHEL/SLES server landscape considering high availability, scalability, security and the requirements of business-critical 7x24 systems.
Design of automated operation and deployment processes with Ansible, AWX, Infrastructure as Code and Forgejo-based CI/CD pipelines as well as establishment of technical DevOps standards.
Management of complex platform changes and support of operations in 3rd-level incidents and major incidents; technical advice and coaching of adjacent engineering, application and development teams as well as participation in the 7x24 on-call service.
Qualifications:
Several years of solid experience in a senior role within Linux, DevOps, Kubernetes or platform engineering.
Highly advanced knowledge of RHEL/SLES and Kubernetes and ideally practical experience with Rancher/RKE2.
Proven experience with Ansible/AWX, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD, including standardisation and automation of complex infrastructures.
Confident handling of requirements from platform security, networking, DNS, load balancing and firewalls; experience with highly available platforms and independent technical decision-making responsibility.
German written and spoken fluently (C2), English at least B2; French B1 advantageous. ITIL and certifications in Kubernetes, Linux, cloud or open source are desirable.
