If you seek technical breadth, you will find it here. Your area of responsibility ranges from certificates to databases to cloud resources. What is still done manually today will belong in a pipeline tomorrow. You switch seamlessly between open-source environments and Microsoft settings. And when an application malfunctions, you find the cause instead of just restarting it.
Responsibilities:
You maintain Linux and container platforms including basic services and develop them technically further
You support web and specialised applications, perform updates, and integrate authentication solutions
You convert manual processes into automated build, test, and deployment procedures
You harden servers and applications through well-thought-out authorisation, patch, and recovery concepts
You are responsible for Windows and Linux servers, virtualisation platforms, and storage systems
Additionally, you manage cloud resources and hybrid setups and plan security measures
Qualifications:
You have a degree in computer science with a focus on software engineering and DevOps practice or equivalent
You have at least 3 years of experience in environments with web servers, DNS, TLS, load balancing, clusters, and backups
Linux and Docker are your daily tools, CI/CD your standard approach
You consider security, SSO, identity management, and authorisations from the outset
You have solid knowledge of Windows Server, virtualisation, or Microsoft cloud services
Experience with Kubernetes, logging, reverse proxies, or zero trust is welcome; you communicate very well in German and English
